With more than 19 years of industry experience, John is the Executive Creative Director guiding Experience Design principles and methodology across SapientNitro’s global teams.
Having been with SapientNitro for over 9 years, John has had the pleasure to work with such clients as Coca-Cola, Google, Red Bull, Disney, NASCAR, Norwegian Cruise Line, SeaWorld, Alamo, and Carnival Cruise Lines. Among John’s more proud moments are driving the creation of the Coca-Cola Interactive Vending machine and the experience design for Coke’s Freestyle Fountain machine…almost simultaneously. It was the work of these two projects that lead SapientNitro to create its first Mobile Design Center in Atlanta in 2009.
Before SapientNitro, John cut his teeth doing book cover design and branding (traditional and interactive) at shops in New York and Atlanta. He also can claim doing some rich banners and vary narrow sites for General Electric, Unilever, and John Hancock at Modem Media – still believed to be the World’s first interactive marketing agency – in Connecticut.
John’s work has garnered several awards over the years including Cannes Lions, W3, Mobius, Creativity Annual Platinum, MIXX, Communication Arts, ADDYs, ECHO, AdTech, and CASIE. He has also judged numerous award shows including the 2013 & 2014 Cannes Young Lions.
