Greg Quinton is Executive Creative Director at global brand consultancy, The Partners and a member of the D&AD Executive Board.

He is the co-author, alongside the writer Nick Asbury, of the second edition of “A Smile in the Mind: Witty thinking in graphic design”, to be published by Phaidon Press, Spring 2016. An authority on graphic design, the book analyses the intricate thought processes behind the apparently forward thinking images and explores so-called ‘witty thinking’, playfulness with ideas, words playing against images, and unexpected connections prompting new insights. With work from over 300 designers, including over 1000 visual examples, it will comprise the most comprehensive collection of graphic wit ever published.

Throughout his career he has won in excess of 200 international design awards including Black and Yellow D&AD pencils, Cannes Lions, Clios and New York Festivals, and he has work in the permanent collection at the V&A, London. His work has spanned a wide variety of clients including AirAsia, Vodafone, HSBC, Jaguar, The Connaught, McLaren, Wedgwood, BBC and The National Gallery.

Greg is actively involved in supporting and promoting design education by mentoring young creative talent and through his role on the D&AD Executive Board. A subject he passionately believes in and struggles to separate from his family life with his four children.
