For four decades Paula Scher has been at the forefront of graphic design. Scher has been a partner in the New York office of Pentagram since 1991.
She began her career as an art director in the 1970s and early 80s, when her eclectic approach to typography became highly influential. During the course of her career Scher has been the recipient of hundreds of industry honors and awards.
In 2001 she was awarded the profession’s highest honor, the AIGA Medal, & in 2006 she was named to the Design Commission of the City of New York.
Her work has been exhibited in museums all over the world.
Iconic, smart, and accessible, her images are today an intrinsic part of the American vernacular.
