• Where’s the innovation in print?: Tyler Brûlé

"If you have an instinct about an idea, it’s better to go with your intuition. We did not rely on focused group research when we launched Wallpaper* - Tyler

• “Paint your buildings:” Pentagram’s Paula Scher

Scher said that she was a fan of commerce so long as there was a conscience attached to it. She said that there had been times in her career when she had refused to work with certain companies, because she wasn’t comfortable with their practices.

• Company’s leadership is a powerful branding tool: Eric Scott

Scott was of the view that the industry had created too few brands, which was because it had not talked a lot about the idea of leadership and courage.

• The real world is driven by web: Nic Roope

Nic pointed out that the culture of the web is feeding back itself in the real world. “The real world is driven not by TV, but by web,” he said.

• "India needs a design route entrenched in its own culture:" Wally Olins

"It will take India approximately 20 years to reach where a lot of other countries are in terms of design. The Indian organisations have understood if they use sense of place, they will be distinctive in terms of design." - Wally Olins.

• Sustainability is a big problem for design: Harsh Purohit

“Sustainability is a self created problem. It is about saving ourselves from ourselves.”
