David Carson is a graphic designer, most known for his work with Ray Gun magazine. Newsweek magazine said of David "He changed the public face of graphic design" while the American Center for Design called his work "The most important work coming out of America". Graphics USA magazine lists Carson as one of the "top 5 time most influential designers of all time" and Creative Review magazine, London called David "The art director of the era". David keeps his studio small and mobile, and has a wide variety of clients and projects. He lectures frequently world wide, and enjoys surfing in the Carribbean. He's finishing up his 5th design book "The rules of graphic design" and describes his work as "personal, subjective and self indulgent".

The American Institute of Graphic Design (AIGA) called Carson "our biggest star", while designer/educator Ellen Lupton (NYC) said of David "Hes much imitated, but never matched". Design writer critic Steven Heller says David "significantly influenced an entire generation to see type as an expressvie medium."

Come hear David explain his works and see what all the fuss is about.
